Afterwards you will visit the famous pyramid plateau of Giza, on which the three most important pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure stand as well as the Sphinx, which lies 500m away in the sand. Research is still being carried out on the plateau today and new things are constantly being discovered. Our tour guide will then take you to your hotel where you can end the day.

The sights: Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple

After a good breakfast and a restful night, visit the Karnak Temple. This temple is not just a temple building, but one of the largest temple complexes with different areas. The holy family of Thebes, Amoun-Re, his wife Mut and son Chonsou were immortalized here. The Papyrus Column Hall with 134 columns was completed by Ramses II and is one of the most important areas of the complex.

Another magnificent building is the Luxor Temple. Amenhotep III and Ramses II built this temple. The sphinx avenue in front of it connected the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple, was then buried under sand and is now exposed again.
Your tour of Egypt continues on the Nile cruise ship.

                                                                                                                  Day 5

The Temple of Hatshepsut was built in terraces into the rocks. Hatshepsut was always depicted as a man, which can be clearly seen in the statues inside. The temple was built by the architect Senenmut in 1470 BC. BC

The two large Colossi of Memnon are two ancient Egyptian statues sitting next to each other. They are approximately 18 m high and date from the 14th century BC. The Colossi of Memnon are by Amenhotep III and were located at the entrance to his temple.
In the afternoon we take the ship to Edfu.

We continue to the temple of Kom Ombo. A unique double temple complex here in Egypt was dedicated to the deities Horus, the Elder and Sobek. It is located on the eastern bank of the Nile.

However, he had to be relocated to the island of Aglika because the high dam flooded the island of Philae. The main part is dedicated to the goddess Isis and the child Horus.

The unfinished obelisk lies in a quarry near Aswan. If it had been completed, it would have been 41.75 meters high. To this day it is not clear which temple it was intended for.

Then be impressed by the high dam on Lake Nasser and enjoy the views. The tour of Egypt continues with departure to Cairo. Once there, our tour guide will take you to the hotel.

                                                                                                                          Day 9
